RSA are commissioned by Plymouth City Council and Chapter 1 Housing Association to design 30 residential units within an existing redundant building in the Barbican in Plymouth. A mixture 1 and 2 bedroom flats are to be provided.
The work involves adding an additional steel framed floor within a double height space and creatively breathing life into an old unused building and providing much needed residential accommodation for the residents of Plymouth. The exterior of the building is to be re-clad and a new stair core added.
The project gained Planning Approval in Spring 2014 and is scheduled to be completed by April 2015. The works are managed by DNA-IC Construction.
